Appraise Of Books London Refrain (Zion Covenant #7)
I just about made it through this but the change in style from the earlier books in the series is notable. There is an editor's note in the front advising that the final three books in this series are a "Director's Cut" whatever that means. The dialogue and story have been lost and we are almost into a history lesson. It doesn't really work and it's a shame for the series to end like this. I was going to persevere with the final two books but have decided against it....I have read this whole

I read this whole series several years ago. Each book was so well written. I was captivated by the characters, their stories and struggles. It was this series that really peaked by love for historical fiction.

Amazing series. So well researched and well written. I'm convinced that Bodie and Brock are the perfect team for writing books. It has everything that I love (music and European history) all in one. This series also just gets better with every book! Highly recommended.

Call to our purpose and to do the right thingUplifting, inspirational book calling us to find our purpose in Christ and commit to it. Shows characters who exhibit the best and the worst character traits and their struggles to do the right thing. Highly motivational and reassuring that what the evil one meant for evil can be made into a blessing by our mighty Lord God.

I agree with other reviewers that the writing style in this book is different from the first six books in the series. It took some adjustment but I got used to it. There are new characters and several prominent characters from the previous books are not mentioned at all. The story is still interesting but it makes me wonder what has happened to them. Still, its informative and I liked it. On to the next book.

Another excellent work by the Thoene's. While some of this material is included in "Twilight of Courage", the main intention of #7-9 of the Covenant series seems to be to bridge the war from the Covenant series to the Chronicles series by interweaving storylines. An enjoyable read, but I did feel a need to go back and read the entire series through in order to be completely caught up.

I really wanted more detail of what happened with Jacob and Captain Orde and his bunch. The letters were just not enough. It feels as though more and more characters are getting crammed into the story, without a lot of development, or time spent with other characters we've grown to love. Still a good book, but somewhat disappointing given the vast detail of the earlier books in the series.
